Auckland Netball, located in St Johns just 10 minutes from the city centre, is a significant contributor to netball in New Zealand. As the largest netball centre in the country, we are home to over 1,000 affiliated teams and more than 30,000 members and participants. Auckland Netball is recognised as a high-quality sporting, recreation, and business hub for the wider community. Our facilities also include an onsite café, and a range of function and event spaces. About the Role
This position provides essential front-of-house and administrative support to the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
• General administration duties, including mail collection, banking, and reconciliations
• Telephone answering and being the first point of contact for visitors to the centre
• Meeting and greeting customers, members, and stakeholders
• Stationery ordering and processing payments for programmes
• Updating the website and Facebook pages
• Providing administrative support to the Games Department as required
• Leading our Powerplay and Pickleball leagues
• Supporting the delivery of our Walking Netball programme
About You
You will be responsible for creating the “first impressions” of Auckland Netball, so a strong customer focus, both internal and external is essential. You will be friendly, enthusiastic, and bring a positive, can-do attitude, with a willingness to go the extra mile.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the ability to meet deadlines
• An understanding of netball (playing and/or coaching experience preferred)
• A current driver’s licence
