• Teams from each year group train together at the same time so coaches work together.
• We can pair you with another person to share the load if that helps.
• Training content is provided to some extent and there is also an opportunity to adapt and deliver specific content as required.
• Each team/coach is supported by a Team Manager who handles all communications and logistics. All you have to do is coach.
• Our location is central, making it easy to get to via public transport or by car.
• If you are a bit rusty about junior netball rules, skills, and techniques we can bring you up to speed so don’t worry about the details too much. A positive attitude will go a long way.
Responsible to: Sports Manager in Charge of Netball
Relationships: Director of Sport, DIO Sports Dept, Auckland Netball Centre
Term: Fixed Term position of up to 3-7 hours per week dependent on team during Term 2 and 3
(Salary Band to be discussed with Angie Winstanley – Smith)
Qualifications:
Previous netball playing experience is preferred. Previous coaching experience is preferred but not essential. Other sports coaching experience will be considered.

• Planning and Organisation Skills to effectively run training sessions and game days
• Coaching Ability and Understanding
• Systems used to develop young players
